CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE AT ROVES FARM
The Christmas experience is always magical at Roves Farm with some wonderfully unique touches too. The elves have been busy a new grotto for 2023. This is always a sell out Christmas event. The Christmas experience at Roves will run on weekends from 25th November and then everyday 18th to 23rd December 2023.
Meet Father Christmas
You’ll be met by one of the cheeky elves who will lead you through the tinsel tunnel where Father Christmas will be awaiting in the magical Grotto.
Meet Santa’s busy workshop elves and choose your toy from the toy shop.

CHRISTMAS AT STEAM

…to Christmas tree decorations, wooden toys, traditional games, Christmas tree decorations, chutneys and luxury confectionery.
Santa’s Storytime
To complete the Christmas magic, Santa will be here on both days with his Storytime sessions.
Santa’s Storytime sessions cost £9.00 per child, in addition to Christmas at STEAM admission.
Children will enjoy a festive story, plus a wrapped gift in the Museum’s specially staged, Hawksworth Hall.
Santa’s Storytime lasts approximately 20 minutes.
Children must be accompanied by an responsible adult at all times (to help us to manage numbers in the space, we respectfully request a maximum of two adults per child).

A COUNTRY HOUSE CHRISTMAS
29 NOVEMBER – 23 DECEMBER, WEDNESDAY – SUNDAY
Step back in time and experience the decorated halls at Lydiard House Museum for the festive season.
The elegant State Rooms of the Grade I listed house will be adorned with traditional Christmas foliage, a beautiful Christmas tree decorated with handmade decorations and a traditional kissing ball.
Decorations include foliage and incredible arrangements produced by the Royal Wootton Bassett Flower Club which add splendour and festivity to the mantle-pieces and doorways throughout the house.
A Country House Christmas runs from Wednesday, 29 November to Saturday, 23 December.
Lydiard House Museum is open on Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 4pm (last admission 3.30pm). Why not combine your visit to Lydiard House Museum with a delicious lunch next door in the new Palm Bar and Restaurant at Lydiard Park Hotel?
Tickets can be purchased online or from the house on the day. Admission to Lydiard House costs £6 for an adult and £3.30 for a child (Under 3s go free). Family tickets are also available.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Dickens Theatre Company are back at Swindon Arts Centre with their joyously authentic staging of this Victorian classic. Two of Dickens’ closest theatrical companions find themselves trapped in the footlights’ glare. ENCHANTED GARDENS LIGHT TRAIL
This Christmas, the historic Town Gardens, Swindon will be transformed into a wonderland of light and festive cheer. State-of-the-art lighting effects will be installed throughout the Victorian Gardens, allowing visitors to wander through a magical backdrop of illuminated trees, discovering a trail of remarkable light art sculptures, low level soundscapes, interactive illuminations and a specially commissioned light show.
