The exact age of this stunning hotel, a listed building of special architectural and historical interest is not known, but it was certainly in existence as a coaching inn in the middle of the fourteenth century.

Clarence Court Hotel – Cheltenham

Another one of our editors favourites, the Clarence Court Hotel is right in the centre of Cheltenham, a close walk from the trendy Brewery Quarter, but one of Cheltenham’s best kept secrets, hidden away in a quiet luxurious affluent Georgian Regency square, a quiet, leafy sanctuary perfectly placed to explore all that Cheltenham has to offer and to have a relaxed romantic Valentines.

Take advantage of the hotels enviable location and leave the car behind as we are just a few minutes walk from the centre of Cheltenham with its fine selection of shops, restaurants. and places of interest.

Pittville Park, the Pump Rooms, Theatres, the Racecourse and Cheltenham Ladies College are all within easy walking distance.

The Hotel has been created within an elegant Regency building, which was once owned and loved by the Duke of Wellington. Many of the original features have been maintained with high Georgian ceilings, ornate coving and big sash windows. The original entrance remains consisting of several steep steps up into the hotel.

The hotels newly refreshed Restaurant and Bar, located on the lower ground floor is the perfect place to unwind, whether it’s for a coffee or a cocktail, lunch or dinner.

The Clarence Court Hotel is perfectly located for your romantic getaway.

For the energetic, the Hotel offers complementary full membership for the duration of your stay at EverLast Fitness, situated in the Brewery Quarter. The club offers a full range of wet and dry facilities and is just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Executive Room

The Clarence Hotel have a lovely selection of rooms, but if its the ultimate romantic indulgence, then the executive room in a luxurious spacious room, with fantastic views over the square (these are the Garden View’ rooms) and ornate regency ceilings. 

The room has a 6ft King sized extremely comfortable bed, with soft toppers and duvets with goose feather pillows, covered with luxurious Egyptian cotton linen. Additional pillows are included for your comfort and relaxation. This is the room of choice from our editor who has stayed in this room for every stay in Cheltenham.

The room is equipped with a Refrigerator, a Tchibo coffee machine with china cups, complimentary water, fluffy bath robes and slippers. Your bathroom has thick fluffy towels, an additional range of toiletries and grooming products and includes bathroom scales.

The Executive package also includes a complimentary bottle of beer, soft drink, wine and chocolate bar in your fridge, and may include 2 x 4ft6 standard size double beds for families.These rooms have larger bathrooms and a sofa.

This room has additional seating, either a large comfy chair or a sofa and room for a sofa or z-bed for that extra person. Our largest of rooms in the hotel have 4ft sofa beds and can sleep a family of 5-6.

With a 40″ TV, luggage rack, tea and coffee making facilities, including a selection of fruit teas, hairdryer and fan.
