School Holiday Clubs are a great way to entertain the kids! When you’re trying to juggle, work and getting things done around the house can sometimes be mission impossible when it comes to school holidays, so we’ve put a guide together for this Half-Term to keep the kids busy and entertained, leaving you to get on with daily life.
Swindon has a huge selection of Holiday Clubs, and we’ve come up with some awesome suggestions including team sports, arts and crafts and camps.
Draycott Sports Camp

Location:
Draycott Sports Camp is located at Oakhurst Primary School in North Swindon. They have indoor and outdoor facilities, including a sports hall, activity rooms, sport courts, an Early Years play area, climbing equipment and a large field.

About: Draycott Sports Camp is a multi-sports and activities holiday club which offers a fun way for children from 3-11yrs to spend on their school holidays.

Draycott Sports Camp was established in 2014, becoming a reputable provider of sports provision for children in Swindon. The organisation encourages children to be physically active within a fun, friendly and exciting atmosphere. Over the last eight years, Draycott Sports Camp has attracted over 2,500 children to their holiday sports camps and after school clubs.
On Monday 19th November 2018, Draycott Sports Camp was invited to The Houses of Parliament to meet the Minister for Children and Families, Nadhim Zahawi. The Minister, who has responsibility for school sport in Government, was keen to hear about the positive effects our sports camps have on the health and well-being of young people. In 2017, Draycott Sports was represented in The Houses of Parliament during the Hansard Debate, as an example of a high quality sports provider to the community.
‘Draycott Sports Camp provides an active environment that is inclusive and engaging for all abilities. The camp focuses on helping children to be more active and to introduce them to new sports. I want every child to have as much fun as those children who go to Draycott Sports Camp, and now is the time we can make that a reality.’
Justin Tomlinson, 2017. Houses of Parliament. Hansard Debate

About: Inspiring Adventure Clubs for Kids: A fresh approach to childcare.
The Outdoors Project is on a mission to get kids playing outside in the fresh air, away from screens and the pressure of modern technology. Unlike traditional sports clubs, they have something for everyone and come wind, rain or shine our clubs take place outdoors all year round. The Outdoors Project’s immersive activities spark children’s imagination, inspire a love of nature and give them space to run free and active in the fresh air.

“It’s childcare in the holidays they want to go to!”
The activities and special themed days are what means they are the childcare your kids want to go to. The Outdoors Project’s ‘tech meet’s nature sessions, such as Minecraft or Among Us, bring to life elements of the games that they love. The meeting of these worlds encourages reluctant children to come for the first time, only to find they return again and again.
