The 48 is the culmination of a 15 year dream for your hosts, Ravi & Anjana.

The husband and wife team, both originally from a coastal town in South India, have always been inspired by the culture & cooking across the 48 countries that make up modern Asia.

Their ambition to open a restaurant that brings together these core flavours in an authentic fusion of tastes is now The 48. And they are delighted to be opening in their home town after the opportunity to take on premises on Old Town arrived.

Meet The Chefs

With over 40 years experience between them in crafting, cooking & presenting dishes from around the world, Mana (left) and Ravi are delighted to present their menu to you here at The 48.

Both have travelled extensively and bring a background of experience in Asian cuisine & style that partners perfectly. Mana, who originates from Thailand, brings expertise in Thai, Chinese & Indonesian food, with Ravi’s South Indian coastal roots and flair for fresh fish adding to his instinct for blending European flavours with modern tastes.

The menu is packed with creative dishes and blends of styles from across the Asian continent that will be ever-changing – but only ever 48 on the menu.
