With only a few weeks left now until the club’s annual 5 Mile Race, places will be filling up rapidly and clubmembers will be nearing the peak of their preparational activities. Just imagine hi-vis crusaders dashing around collecting road cones, clipboards, stopwatches, smelting old and forging new trophies whilst simultaneously baking cakes, as that’s what happens behind the scenes. Kind of.

Anyway, on Sunday 7 April at 11am the runners will be set off to enjoy the rural, one-lap route that finishes on Warneford School’s playing field. The race is open to anyone aged 15 or over and we’d love to see plenty of
residents taking to the start line (and crossing the finish line of course). Entries can be taken on the day, but only if the race limit hasn’t already been reached – and it has been close a few times. So if you are
interested, don’t delay. Go online and pledge your commitment to being an Eastrop Hill Hero. You know you want to…
