The 1st Highworth Scouts are preparing for their annual Scarecrow Trail & Quiz Night which will see the trail launch on 29th March which concludes on 14th April and the Quiz Night on Friday 12th April at the Scout Hall.

The theme for this years Scarecrow Trail is Animated Film which opens up a huge selection of animated film to base participants scarecrows from.

Could be a tough one this year though, the theme does not include characters or series, this years theme is ‘Animated Film’. But the challenge is all part of the fun in this annual event, so get your thinking caps on.

If you would like to make and enter a scarecrow, then complete the form on the Scouts website. Closing date for entries is the 10th March and no scarecrow is confirmed until you have received and email from the organisers. To avoid any duplications of answers across the scarecrow trail, the organisers ask for everyone entering to wait until you have heard back from them before you begin making your scarecrow.

Scarecrow Trail sheets can be purchased for £3 from 23rd March from Allen & Harris Estate Agents, Visit Highworth & The Saracens Pub.

The trail sheets need to be completed and returned to Allen & Harris by 17th April for a chance to win a prize. The Highworth Scouts wish to thank in advance everyone who will provide a scarecrow to make the Easter Scarecrow Trail possible.

The funds from the Scarecrow Trail will go towards the Beavers, Cubs & Scouts of Highworth.

Quiz Night on Friday 12th April at 7:30pm at the Highworth Scout Hall is once again sponsored by Simpsons Cars based in the Blackworth Industrial Site. Entry is £24 for a table of up to four people, which includes a Ploughman’s and everyone is welcome to bring their own liquid refreshments.

As always, the Scouts will be delighted to see some new teams as well as their regular supporters.
