80s, 90s AND 00s hero Rick Astley will headline Friday, alongside time travel pioneers but with no Marty… McFly and dance music heroes Orbital. Female-led soulful and discodelic group Say She She will also wow the crowds on the Friday, as well as rock band The Magic Numbers and northern indie stars The K’s. Families can also enjoy visual spectacles from Brainiac Live, Hacker T Dog & Katie Thistleton and Big Fish Little Fish. Tom Aspaul, The Beatles Dub Club, Old Time Sailors, Jungle Cakes: Ed Solo, Deekline & Benny Page, Katie Grace and Dogshow will also descend onto the fields on the Friday.

The party continues on the Saturday with pop Queen Paloma Faith headlining alongside co-lead vocalist from New York’s Scissor Sisters Jake Shears and the legendary The Darkness. Camp Bestival’s favourite DJ Gok Wan will also energise the crowds alongside BBC Radio 6 DJ Chris Hawkins. Others performing on the Saturday include rising hip-hop star Hak Baker, flowerovlove and everybody’s favourites… The Cuban Brothers! Families will be entertained throughout the day with Mr Tumble, Dick and Dom, Mister Maker and musical rascals Junior Jungle. The Amy Winehouse Band, Coach Party, Fred Roberts and Jemma Bolt will also appear on Saturday.

Headlining the Sunday at Camp Bestival Shropshire will be Faithless with their first live show in 8 years with a homage to the late Maxi Jazz, followed by BBC Radio 2’s Sara Cox and English jazz-funk band formed in Isle of Wight Level 42. Craig Charles will also bring his Funk and Soul House Party show to the fields of Weston Park. Also on the bill for Sunday is throwback legend Mr Motivator, Miles Hunt, Ellie Sax, Snayx and Marlee.

On top of the music, the whole family can get lost in theatre, shows, wellbeing workshops, circus spectacles, sideshow commotions, comedy, activities, firework finales as well as a dedicated Slow Motion wellbeing area filled with everything from yoga to ice baths – all located in the beautiful, spacious environment of Weston Park. After the success of last year’s incredible fancy dress extravaganza, Camp Bestival Shropshire, is inviting festival goers to decide their own era with its ‘Time Travel’ theme for 2024. Campers can step back in time or jump ahead to the future as they hop aboard their own time travel machine for a fancy-dress festival experience like no other at Weston Park.
Known as the ultimate ‘festi-holiday’, the Camp Bestival crew know a thing or two about keeping the family entertained and for 2024 a collection of new activities have been added to every corner of Weston Park, all included in the ticket price, from Parkour & Freerunning, Football Club, Lifeguard Classes, Mermaid Lessons, through to Synchronised Swimming, Wall Climbing and even more dance classes! Families can also expect Mud Kitchen, Art Town, Beekeeping plus brand-new workshops inside Fashion & Textile World. An action-packed accumulation of screen-free activities awaits in the expansive green spaces, luxuriant lawns and lake, verdant parkland, and enchanting woodlands of Shropshire.

Families are encouraged to try as many of the activities taking the place over the weekend as possible and document the adventure with the brand-new Explorer’s Passport. The passport, which is also available for free to all child day ticket holders, allows all to collect precious stamps and stickers across the festival, highlighting the true value for money aspect of the ticket. The Explorer’s Passport will be managed on-site by a new team of Navigators, located at the brand-new Navigation Town, who will present each child with their passport upon arrival and inspire families to explore activities, shows, talks and workshops so that every child makes the most of their time at Camp Bestival.
Accommodation:
As Camp Bestival’s name suggests, we place a lot of emphasis on making sure your campsite experience is the best it can be. There are several different types of camping and accommodation fields at Camp Bestival – each with car parks relatively close by to reduce how far you’ll need to walk with all your kit (phew!), and each with tasty food stalls, recycling points, sets of showers and loos (many of which will be of the eco-friendly and non-smelly compostable variety), and more.
