The Supermarine Bowls Club will be opening their doors to the public for their open day on Sunday 12th May where the club will be offering free coaching sessions, target competition, and the opportunity to watch existing members play in their inaugural Mr and Mrs Supermarine Doubles Trophy. During the day refreshments will be available including beer supplied by Cotswold Lakes Brew Co.

The club that traces its history back to 1947, when it was then called the Vickers Sports & Social Club are always looking for new members, young or not-so-young and we specifically welcome couples, new to the game, who want to participate in a sport together. Bowls is a game where males and females can compete on an equal footing.
The club changed its name from the Vickers Sports & Social Club to Supermarine Bowls Club ‘The Friendly Bowls Club’ in 1985 when the club moved to its current home. The club endeavour to make everyone feel welcomed whether you are looking for a place to hone your line in competitive play, or a friendly and relaxing environment to give bowls a try, Supermarine has something for everyone.

The group meet at the Club on Supermarine Road, South Marston SN3 4BZ which they own both the clubhouse & green. The club runs regular competitive fixtures for men, women, and mixed bowling in Club, District, and County matches. In addition, they play a number of friendly fixtures for those just looking to have some fun.
