STEAM Museum played host again to another blockbuster Comic Con event organised by Stars of Time. The reincarnated event now in its third year under the Stars of Time banner had promised the event would be even bigger and better than ever and they didn’t disappoint!

Probably the UK’s most unique Comic Con venue, the STEAM Museum played the perfect host to cosplayers dressing up as their favourite characters from comics, small screen and of course the big screen! At times you would be mistaken to think you were on the set of Dr Who with a Cyberman or Dalek wondering past you in a backdrop of the museum that would really make you think you were on a Dr Who set in the Victorian age.

Unlike most Comic Cons that often take place in event halls, the backdrop of steam engines and full size statues of Isambard Kingdom Brunel next to a storm trooper is something you just wont find at any other Comic Con event.

Speaking to Harry from Stars of Time, he said “Its been an amazing event, the people of Swindon are wonderful and the venue is just awesome, its such a great unique venue to host our event” Harry went on to say “This year we’ve added more stands such as Sesame Street using the back station platform which we’ve never used before. We want to expand and give people the most awesome day out and the STEAM Museum really gives us the chance to give the best event possible”.
