On July 6, the local community of Filipino business owners living in Swindon and the neighbouring towns will come together for the highly anticipated free networking event, “Entre-Pinoy Summer Fair 2024” at the Hawksworth Hall of the Swindon STEAM Museum. “Entre- Pinoy” is a portmanteau of “entre” (which is short for entrepreneur) and “Pinoy” (a person of Filipino origin or descent) and celebrates the Filipino entrepreneurial spirit. This gathering will be sponsored by Ayala Land International Sales, the largest property developer in the Philippines, and is part of the highly successful and well-respected Ayala Group of Companies.

This event is a follow up to the “Swindon Entre-Pinoy Fiesta” which was held at the Leonardo Hotel Swindon last April which was attended by local entrepreneurs and members of the vibrant Swindon Filipino Association (SFA).
Fostering Connections and Collaboration
The April event was a resounding success, attracting guests and entrepreneurs from Swindon and neighbouring areas. It provided a platform for local entrepreneurs to connect, share insights, and explore potential collaborations, and everyone came out energised and optimistic about what the future holds.
“It was fantastic to see so many passionate and driven entrepreneurs in one room,” said Aries Aquitania, the event organiser and Filipino community leader. “The energy and enthusiasm was palpable, and the conversations were truly inspiring. This event has once again demonstrated the strength and resilience of the Filipino community in Swindon, if not the UK.”
Throughout the afternoon, attendees had the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and explore potential synergies.
Adrian de Asis, owner of popular bakery business Pan de Manille said “As a small business owner, I found this event to be incredibly valuable and it motivated me to launch the next phase of my business,” Adrian went on to say “The insights shared by the speakers and the chance to connect with like-minded individuals have given me a renewed sense of purpose and direction. I’m excited to implement some of the strategies I learned here today.”
Tadena, Regional Sales Director of Ayala Land International Sales, echoed their firm’s commitment to championing Filipino entrepreneurial activities locally and internationally, and gave an inspiring presentation on why the Philippines is one of the most promising investment opportunities for Filipino and foreign investors alike. Tadena was joined by colleagues Red Marasigan and Luigi de la Paz who lent support to this event.
Championing Entrepreneurial Excellence
It is the success of the April gathering and the clamour from local business owners that motivated Aquitania and Ayala Land to do another Entre-Pinoy event this month.
The previous networking event was a testament to the thriving entrepreneurial spirit in Swindon and by providing a platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing, the organisers are hoping to further strengthen the local business community and foster an environment conducive to growth and innovation.
“Events like these are crucial for the continued success of our local entrepreneurs,” said De La Paz. “I’m proud to see the level of engagement and enthusiasm from the business community, and I’m confident that Swindon will continue to be a hub for entrepreneurial excellence. Truly looking forward to 6th July.”
The “Entre-Pinoy Summer Fair 2024” is free for Filipino business owners and customers to attend, and it will run from 12noon to 4pm on 6th July. Some of the businesses which will attend the event sell bakery goods, do catering services, promote organic products and healthy living, and engage in e-commerce.
