DJ legend Westwood is coming to town!… The Cow Nightclub in the town centre is playing host to Tim Westwood, who has over 1million subscribers on his YouTube Channel where he has interviewed some of the biggest names in Hip Hop & Grime including Jay-Z and Eminem.

Westwood will be performing on Saturday night (31st August) and will be joined by DJ Stavo, DJ Silver, DJ Young C and MC Ranks from Swindon 105.5fm for the Eruption Urban Swindon event with a night of Afrobeats, Old Skool, Reggae, Bashment, R&B and much more from 10pm to 3am.

Westwood’s career started in the late 1970s when he helped set up sound systems in clubs in northwest London, taking opportunities to work as a DJ, and then warming up for David Rodigan, from there Westwood got his first radio show on the London pirate radio station LWR before moving to Kiss FM which he co-owned. In 1994 Westwood moved to BBC Radio 1 from Capital FM to present ‘Its New Rap Show’ which launched with a live concert featuring Puff Daddy and the Notorious B.I.G.

Since leaving the BBC, Westwood has re-joined Capital FM on its sister station Capital Xtra. As well as being one of the UKs most sort after DJs, Westwood has also had great success on TV, appearing on BBC & ITV as well as hosting MTV’s series Pimp My RIde UK which ran for three seasons from 2005 to 2007 where a lucky viewers car would be “Pimped”.

Westwood took to social media ahead of this weekend at The Cow announcing the event, saying: “You know how we turn up the party, shut down the club, make the party lit. Well we’re coming to Swindon to The Cow for Eruption Urban Swindon.

“It’s all going down this Saturday, the 31st of August, with Westwood DJs Silver UK and DJ Stavo.

“It’s going to be super turnt and super lit so make sure you pull up to the party. Let’s get it.”

VIP packages are available starting from £350 (bookable in advance) giving entry for three people and £250 worth of Drinks.

Tickets are available now and early bird tickets are £5, with standard tickets from £10. Organisers expect the event to sell out before Saturday night, so get your tickets whilst they are still available!
