The Brunel Swindon ‘Makers Market’ is back again this month with a packed array of stalls selling cakes & bakes, paper craft, wax works, baby knits, diamond art, hand stitched items and much more, showcasing Swindon’s wealth of creative small businesses.

This months Makers Market which runs every second Saturday of the month will be on Saturday 14th September. Now one of the towns biggest craft markets has grown month on month with popularity from the people of Swindon loving the variety and quality of items on sale. The market only started 5months ago back in April with its successful inaugural event, and now so big that it has had to move upstairs to cater for the mass of stallholders wanting to be a part of this wonderful community building event each month.

The Brunel has a long history of supporting small businesses going back to the 80s and 90s from the small stores that some may be old enough to remember such as The Trinket Box, Rival Records and Rhapsody to name just a few along with the old market which included stalls like the Brunel Market Butchers, the Gary Watts Fruit & Veg Stall and Eve’s Snack Bar. Moving forward to the 21st century, the centre is going through more changes, but still supporting small businesses to thrive.
It was the fond reminiscing of the good old days that the Brunel management say they brought back a market that people of today would love. Stalls to look out for this month are Starchild chocolates, Sweetpea Creations, Jack and Sally Emporium, Boglar Bakes, Wacky Wood, Greenery Vibes and Valerie Anns crafts & flowers.
Makers’ Market is held on the second Saturday of every month in the Brunel Shopping Centre’s between 9am & 3pm.
