Slam the door shut on spooky season because it’s time to make it rein, deer. However you celebrate, the holidays start with Netflix – and this year, they’re bigger than ever. To help launch our most festive slate of films, series, games (and gifts!) yet, today Netflix released a new star-studded video featuring your fave holiday rom-com stars, new images from our upcoming holiday slate and our new holiday hub.
Millennials, grab your friends and a bottle of wine, because every Wednesday in November, we’re releasing a new holiday rom-com. An ice sculpture magically transforms into the love of Kathy’s (Lacey Chabert) life in Hot Frosty. A shirtless Chad Michael Murray stars in a holiday-themed, male “revue show” in The Merry Gentlemen. A Pentatonix holiday concert leaves Layla (Christina Millian) head over heels in love in Meet Me Next Christmas. Avery (Lindsay Lohan) unexpectedly spends the holiday with her ex and her new beau in Our Little Secret.
Bust out the matching PJs for family time by the fire while watching our three new animated films. Spellbound, from the director of Shrek and the visionary behind Toy Story, stars Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem and Rachel Zegler. Love Actually writer-director Richard Curtis returns with That Christmas, starring Bill Nighy and Brian Cox, which critics are already calling a “new holiday classic.” Aardman’s beloved duo returns with a zippy, gorgeously animated adventure in Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl.
Prefer a thrill ride to a sleigh ride? For the adrenaline junkies, we have two new holiday-set thrillers to get pulses racing. Jason Bateman and Taron Egerton deliver the gift of a taut and tense thriller in the Christmas Eve-set film Carry-On, and Keira Knightley unwraps a Christmas mystery in the spy thriller limited series Black Doves.
If the only gift you want this year is a TD from your favorite QB, we have two Christmas Day NFL Games to get your live sports fix.
Have something naughty and nice on your list this year? Please, please, please join the hottest artist of the year, Sabrina Carpenter, in her new holiday variety music special A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter.
If your reason for the season is a different kind of carpenter, we have the biblical epic Mary, starring two-time Academy Award® winner Anthony Hopkins and Noa Cohen. Through Mary’s eyes, the coming-of-age film tells the story of one of history’s most profound figures and the remarkable journey that led to the birth of Jesus.
Planning to play over the holidays? We’re launching three new games to help you level up the season. Spend the holidays in your favorite small town with A Virgin River Christmas, enjoy an exclusive holiday roller coaster in RollerCoaster Tycoon Touch, holiday events and clothes in Knittens, — even Snake.io is slithering into the holiday spirit.
Looking for your next binge to survive the dreaded post-holiday dead week? Let the games begin with Season 2 of our Most Popular series of all time, Squid Game, or curl up on the couch with Season 6 of Virgin River.
From onscreen to under the tree, we’ve also got the perfect gifts for the Netflix megafan in your life. Help bring The Ton to life with The Official Bridgerton Cookbook, the Bridgerton x Williams Sonoma hosting collection, or tickets to experience the iconic soundtrack irl at the sensational Candlelight concert. Cheers your favorite player with a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label Squid Game Edition or gift your favorite New Yorker tickets to Squid Game: The Experience. Bring The Upside Down inside with the Polly Pocket x Stranger Things compact playset or a Demogorgon Squishmallow. Countdown to Christmas with the Netflix Collectibles Advent Calendar.
