With Christmas adverts all over our TV screens, many people have said they have been inspired to put up their tree’s, in fact, many had already put up their tree by the first weekend of November, before we had even enjoyed the skies lighting up for ‘Fire Works Night’.

across the UK, one in five people across the UK have already put up their Christmas tree, with 40% of these saying they did it to cheer up the house. In a survey, Manchester, London and Glasgow were at the top of the tree, excuse the pun.

A third of those who have decked the halls despite it being November said seeing their first festive adverts had inspired them.

With festive adverts like M&S Food, featuring Dawn French and Aldi’s Kevin the Carrot adventure have got the British public in the festive mood.

For those who have not put up the tree yet, the most popular time to get their houses in the festive mood is the first weekend of December.

Over 90% of those surveyed said that they get their children involved when it comes to decorating the Christmas tree. However, almost half admitted that they will re-organise the tree decorations once the kids were in bed.

We’ve had a tough time with Covid, followed by the current ongoing cost of living crisis, so putting up a tree and getting the house festive ready is giving people a more upbeat inspired vibe.

As usual, retailers re-stock the Halloween shelves with Christmas the day Halloween is over, so it’s no wonder that we seem to get in the festive mood, by getting into the Christmas spirit early.
