Speaking to one of the consultants working on behalf of SevenCapital tonight, we were told there has been an update to the Oasis website today to confirm the what is happening to the Dome Busters.
Many disappointed people today took to the newly updated Swindon Oasis website to express their concerns about the proposed plans of the iconic dome leisure facility, particularly the lack of Dome Busters.
Martha Kool, spoke to Entertainment Swindon tonight to confirm that the website has been updated in the FAQ section in ref to the concerns from both the public and local councillors. She said: “We have added information in reference to the concerns about the Dome Busters not mentioned in the initial release of plans today. It was an oversight and was not meant to mislead the public, the website has now been updated with further information along with CGI of the interior being released later this week.
The Dome Busters are being replaced by a new inner-tube slide complex in the same location as the current flumes, this will be an upgrade from what was previously there”.
It’s not clear from our conversation what the inner-tube slide complex will look like, or if it will come from outside the dome, passing through the structure as the current flumes do. We look forward to seeing CGI images later this week.
