Signing on a deal until the end of the season, the 31-year-old has amassed over 300 carer games across the EFL, including Sky Bet Championship, League One, and League Two.
Ripley began his career with Blackburn Rovers, after moving to Middlesbrough on a two-year scholarship in June 2009, he signed his first professional contract in January 2011. During his 8 years as a professional at Boro, he went on loan to Swedish outfit Östersunds FK, as well as moves to Motherwell and Oldham where he established himself as their number one between the sticks.

Before joining Preston North End, a fellow Championship side from Middlesborough, he also spent time on loan with Bury, Burton Albion, and Accrington Stanley, as well as a loan move to Salford City during his time at Preston.
His experience would prove important when he was made club captain by Manager, Derek Adams when he joined Morecambe in June 2022. He would be a stand-out performer for the Shrimps as he won EFL Sky Bet League One Player of the Month as well as being named Morecambe Player of the Year for 2022/23.

Since his departure from Morecambe, he joined Port Vale where he would go on to make 69 consecutive starts for Vale while being nominated for October’s EFL League Two Player of the Month award as well as being named in the EFL Team of the Week after keeping a clean sheet at Bromley back in December.
Upon signing for Swindon Town, Ripley said: “It feels amazing. It came around pretty quick and I traveled down straight away today to get the medical done and I’m here now. I had spoken to Ian and it was a really simple decision after speaking to him, he’s someone I can relate to and he’s a manager I really want to work with.”
Connor Ripley becomes our latest addition and we look forward to seeing him in action as a Town player.
