***BIG NEWS***. Entertainment Swindon will this year be launching the Entertainment Swindon Awards.
An annual event to celebrate and reward the hundreds of local musicians, live music venues, restaurants, pubs, bars, chip shops, market stall holders, hair dressers and beauticians and much more!

Swindon’s Best Coffee Shop – Local coffee shops are often the hub of our communities where people come to relax, have a natter and socialise, and of course have hot brew and a cheeky slice of cake.
Swindon’s Best Pub – We all love a good pub! Whether its a pub round the corner in town or a cozy countryside pub, we Brits love a good pint! This award is to give a big shout out to all our locals who bring us together.
Swindon’s Best Bar/Club – Swindon has some amazing bars! Sports Bars to Cocktail Bars, they are our Friday and Saturday night destinations where we can let our hair down and forget work.
Swindon’s Best Restaurant – Swindon has a wealth of amazing and varied restaurants, from Steak Houses, to Pizzaria’s, from Indian to Chinese cuisine, street food, Italian and so much more! Here we celebrate Swindon’s variety of cuisines.
Best Sunday Roast – Theres nothing more English than heading to a local pub or restaurant to have a hearty Sunday Roast, this award is to give a big shout out to those who make our Sundays that much better.
Swindon’s Best Chip Shop – Probably the biggest British tradition! Our love affair of Fish & Chips wrapped up in a bundle of paper. This award is looking for the best chip shop in Swindon an to celebrate our love for fish and chips.
Best Cocktails in Swindon – Who doesn’t love a good cocktail! Memories of that Mediterranean holiday from last summer, the variety of colour on flavours to brighten our weekends after a hard week of work. The art of cocktail making is most definitely an art form! Lets celebrate these Mixologist geniuses.
Best Local Micro Brewery – Over recent years, Micro-Breweries have become the trendy place to go for a beer. This award is about supporting these small businesses and the variety of flavours of local micro-brewery beers.
Best Independent Retailer – The variety of independent retailers is infinite, they supply us with creative, often handmade items giving us unique ideas for the home, gifts for family and friends that you just cant find in large chain stores.
Best Local Band – This award is dedicated to those passionate amazing musicians who entertain us at pubs & live music venues, week in, week out, often not making money, but performing still because of their passion for music and entertaining people.
Best Local Solo Artist – This award is dedicated to those passionate amazing solo artists who entertain us at pubs & live music venues, week in, week out, often not making money, but performing still because of their passion for music and entertaining people.
Best Street Performer – Walking through the Swindon Town Centre, we often see musicians, performers, magicians, and dancers performing all day for our entertainment for just what we drop into their hat or tin. These talented amazing people are often our towns unsung heroes who put a smile on our faces as we walk past from shop to shop when our ears hear our favourite song.
Swindon’s Best Artist – Each year we see Swindon come alive in colour with Swindon Paint Fest and Swindon Open Studios event where local artists show case their work and literally open their studios to the public. This award is dedicated to showcasing the amazing talent of Swindon’s artists.
Swindon’s Best Photographer – Whether you are a professional, an amateur or hobbyist photographer, this award is to show case the amazing talented photographers across the Swindon area.
Best Hair Dresser/Barber Award – These awesome people are the masters of making us look good ahead of a night out, for weddings, and just day to day.
Best Beautician Award – From mobile beauticians who come to our homes to small beauty & spa businesses around Swindon, they help us feel good, look better and feel refreshed.
Best Gym Award – Swindon has a large number of gyms and health clubs in and around the town. From small boutique personal training studios to large chain health clubs, they all help us on our fitness journeys to better health.
Swindon Sports Personality of the Year Award – Athletes & sports people are some of the most hard working dedicated people around! Often even at professional level having to get up at early doors to get training in before working a full-time job.
Swindon Entrepreneur of the Year Award – These innovative, driven people strive to turn an idea in their head to become successful businesses, often the beating heart of towns up and down the country providing jobs to the local area.
Voice for Swindon – This award is to celebrate the hard work of those who campaign and give voice to supporting the town of Swindon and help to support and save local charities, iconic buildings, and organisations key to making our town awesome.
Swindon Charity Award – Swindon has a wealth of amazing local small charities and CIC’s staffed by hundreds of volunteers doing awesome work to support people in and around Swindon, some even support international causes. This award is to honour those charities.
Heart of Swindon Award – With Swindon having so many small dedicated hard working charities and CIC’s, there is a huge need for dedicated hard working selfless volunteers. This award is to show the dedication of individuals who work selflessly within these charities and CIC’s.

- Any nominee must be within the SN Swindon Post Code area.
- How will we decide winners from each category? Winners will be chosen from a combination of public votes and our panel of judges.
