Hindu Samaj Swindon, established in 1973, is the longest serving Hindu Community Charity organisation in Swindon, and now proudly presents to you – Unity in Diversity II.
This is the second in our series of multicultural variety shows and we have great performances to entertain you which include Jazz by Swindon New College students, Irish dances by Farrell school of Irish dances, a variety of folk and cultural dances, Tabla, piano and drum recitals and much more.

You will get three hours of song, dance, and instrumentation that will keep you entertained throughout the evening with a short intermission. For those of classical inclination, you will get exposure to folk dances from across the breadth of India from Kathak and Bharat-Natyam, to Garba and Odissi. You will have tabla (Indian drums) performances and also western drumming. Finally, no show is complete without the beats of dhol – to keep your blood pumping. Come and see for yourself on 22nd February 2025 – it’s an evening not to be missed.

After the overwhelming success of the first Unity In Diversity in 2022, this year’s event promises to showcase the vibrant diversity of the Swindon community with dance showcases from students at New College, Swindon, Tanwood School of Performing Arts, and various local dance academies. Audiences will also be treated to a variety of folk and cultural dances from across the breadth of India from Kathak and folk dances, to Bollywood.
For those who enjoy something more ‘classical’, the evening will feature Tabla played by famous Harki Popli, and Piano by Neil Gonsalves, top scorer with an “Outstanding” result in the Piano category at the Royal Wootton Bassett Music Festival 2024, and a special performance from the Marathi dhol group who are sure to keep audience members blood pumping.
Siddharth Patel, Chairman of Hindu Samaj Swindon said ‘It is an absolute pleasure to organise this second in a series of diverse talent shows at the Swindon’s premier Wyvern Theatre.
