What a week it’s been! Entertainment Swindon have checked out Festival of Tomorrow events across Swindon throughout Half Term, and what an amazing lot of fun we have had! And we aren’t even kids! OK, big kids…

STEAM Museum played host to an awesome, unique floating six metre diameter Gaia NASA imagery of the planet in 3D accompanied by a specially curated programme of events, free family activities, workshops and performances, inviting you to explore our planet.
Whilst at McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Village played host to an amazing art gallery display put on by four local Swindon artists, journeyed to the depths of our oceans in search of ‘Sea Creature Superpowers’, braved the musical web of the sonic spider, and finally this weekend a two day finale event at the Deanery CE School in Wichelstowe, where we got to hug robots, take to the skies with a flight simulator and get beyond the wheel to learn how to drive economically before we were entertained by a rapping scientist.
The Festival Finale extravaganza at the Deanery saw another FREE event where everyone got to explore five interactive Discovery Zones packed with fantastic demos, intriguing exhibits from more than 30 leading organisations from Bath University, Swindon’s very own New College, Time Machine Designs, the Manchester Centre for Audiology and Deafness, the awesome team from Pod Pad Studios and their Robot T-1-FNY, 3D Printing from Swindon Maker Space, and so much more.
Speaking to one of the organisers, Entertainment Swindon were told “We are still going through the stats, the numbers and other information which we will be gathering over the next few days, but we reckon around 11,000 school children have been through our events this week, which is amazing”.
So as the Festival of Tomorrow comes to an end, we are left with looking forward to 2026 and a look back at this years Festival.
