Forward thinking from Audi with the all-new Audi A6 Avant looks to the future with its dynamic design and mild hybrid technology.

Audi is ushering in a new era for estate vehicles with the Audi A6 Avant, a revolutionary car that epitomises the brand’s new dynamic design philosophy. This elegant model is more spacious than ever, while also offering exceptional aerodynamics and efficiency. It features partially electric mild hybrid technology, making this car ideal for both everyday and long-distance driving, plus it boasts second-to-none comfort – a ‘must-have’ for those accustomed to travelling in executive-level refinement.

At first glance, the Audi A6 Avant impresses with perfect proportions, featuring a long wheelbase and large wheels that command attention. The interplay of clear surfaces and dynamic lines gives it an expression of style and sportiness, while also contributing to its outstanding aerodynamics, ensuring a drag coefficient (Cd value) of 0.25. This is the best value for an Avant with a combustion engine in the history of Audi.

Sophisticated aerodynamics not only influence performance but also contribute to the overall comfort inside. Sound insulation in the vehicle has been improved by up to 30 per cent compared to the previous model, and audio enjoyment is enhanced with the optional premium sound system from Bang & Olufsen.

The stylish interior of the A6 Avant reflects the four characteristic features of the new Audi design philosophy: human centric, digital stage, material-driven design and visual clarity. A new panoramic glass roof is the epitome of all this. Available as an option, it spans almost the entire cockpit and rear, creating an unprecedented feeling of spaciousness, and allowing the interior to either be flooded with light or variably shaded by a nine-segment ‘digital curtain’.

Previously showcased in other Audi models, the A6 Avant also has a digital stage revolving around the Audi MMI panoramic display and the optional MMI passenger display, effectively wrapping the occupants in infotainment screens. And, as part of the optional Sound & Vision pack, the new Audi A6 Avant can be optionally equipped with a new, configurable head-up display (HUD). For the first time, drivers have the option of controlling vehicle and infotainment functions via this system.

The new A6 Avant will be available with two different engines in the UK: a 2.0 TFSI petrol and a 2.0 TDI diesel. The diesel unit features mild hybrid technology (MHEV plus) and is therefore partially electrified. The MHEV plus system supports the combustion engine, enhances performance and ride quality, and reduces CO2 emissions.
