April was a fantastic month for events here at the hotel. The Double Tree hosted their first wedding of the year for Mr and Mrs Beattie who spoke so highly of their big day:

Up next is Father’s Day Sunday Lunch, now available to book through the hotels Events Team or via the hotels Eventbrite page. Book 15th June for a delicious three-course meal, and we’ll treat every dad to a complimentary drink. It’s the perfect way to show your appreciation and make his day extra special!
Even more exciting, The Double Tree is thrilled to announce the launch of their brand-new kids events, which includes the Dino Disco Pizza Party, happening on 13th July 2025!
Get ready for an action-packed afternoon where kids can meet their favourite dinosaurs, dig for fossils, learn about prehistoric times, enjoy freshly made pizzas, and dance the day away at our roaring dinosaur disco!
For the adults, The Double Tree tribute events continue to be a great success too—recently featuring ABBA, with Tina Turner Tribute Night on 23rd May. There will also be other exciting events, including Drag Bingo Night, scheduled for 5th September, and more tribute nights planned for later in the year.

April brought a first for The DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon – and what a hit it was! The hotel proudly launched their very first ‘Kids Eat Free’ event during half term, and it was a roaring success! Children under 12 were treated to a FREE main course and a delicious ice cream dessert when dining with an adult ordering from our mouthwatering 14Twelve Brasserie menu. Smiles all around, full tummies, and memories made – we can’t wait to do it again!
The 14twleve Brasserie and Bar Spring menu is now also available too enjoy, with dishes such as the Mediterranean Halloumi with red pepper hummus and pomegranate, Tomato Mosaic Caprese salad, Golden Plum Duck Gyoza’s and much more…. In addition, this year the Double Tree are placing a strong emphasis on social engagement and celebrating local products.
Some of the fantastic local offerings include:

- The newly onboarded AU Vodka
- Our own DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon honey, harvested from the rooftop beehives

Charity Spotlight
This month, we were honoured to collaborate with Sands Swindon.
Sands exists to reduce the number of babies dying and to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or
shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they
need support. Sands also facilitates a local support group
in Swindon, offering individuals the opportunity to come together and receive face-to-face support.
To show our support this Easter, the hotel hosted an Easter Egg Lucky Dip, with each egg available for just £1. Guests and staff had the chance to win a range of exciting prizes, including dinner for two, 5,000 Hilton Honours points, afternoon tea for two, and more. It was a fun and engaging way to raise both funds and awareness for SANDS, a charity close to our hearts.
We’re also incredibly proud of our ongoing charitable initiatives. So far this year, we’ve raised:
- £110 for Swindon Down Syndrome Group
- £90 for SANDS Swindon
