For the first time, the All-New Transit Custom Nugget is available as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV).^† With a PHEV you have two external plug sockets. One connects to a campsite power supply, to power lights, sockets, and other home-from-home equipment. And the second opens a whole new world of adventure potential…

It’s the charging socket for the new plug-in hybrid system – ^‡ meaning Nugget now offers pure-electric driving capability with a battery that can be charged at a charging point or domestic socket.

PHEV tech delivers the best of both worlds for camper van owners. It can help you go further on a tank of a petrol, and let you cruise quietly around scenic spots. It can also give you access to low-emission zones in city centres.

High-tech connectivity shared with our market-leading Transit and Tourneo Custom family means you can still choose to stay in touch – even when enjoying some solitude. 

A 5G modem^* and wireless charging can help keep the whole family entertained and connected on a long road trip. 

A 13-inch central touchscreen puts the next destination or perfect driving soundtrack a few taps away. And SYNC 4 technology even lets you control the audio and navigation with your voice.^††

When ready to set up camp for the night, a clever inclinometer built into the seven-inch colour touchscreen helps ensure you’re on level ground for a comfier stay. While an optional solar roof can produce enough power in ideal conditions to power onboard equipment and even top up the leisure battery. 

And because it’s not a holiday without great eating experiences, Nugget has a new and improved kitchen layout featuring a drawer-style fridge for easier access, and 20% more worktop space than the previous model. The standard hot water heater also feeds the rear shower so you can freshen up after a day’s activities.

Relaxing after a long day is easy with a heated rear bench and ambient lighting that is also controlled from the seven-inch touchscreen. Blackout blinds can also help light sleepers get a proper recharge before the next day’s adventures.
