This new spin-off, the most recent edition to the NCIS-verse, reunites fan favourites Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David. Michael Weatherly (Tony) and Cote de Pablo (Ziva) will reprise their roles as former NCIS agents, which will mark their first time appearing together in 12years (NCIS Season 11 – Episode: Past, Present and Future).

The new series, NCIS: Tony & Ziva is the seventh series in the NCIS-verse and has been described as ‘an unconventional love story’ set in Europe, and is the first developed exclusively for a streaming platform.

“NCIS: Tony & Ziva will be an action-packed roller coaster fuelled by love, danger, tears and laughter”. Michael Weatherly & Cote de Pablo.

Back in mid-May 2024, the first official podcast of the NCIS Universe, Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch, premiered on Spotify, hosted by de Pablo & Weatherly, revisiting the shows most memorable episodes with behind the scenes commentary, and in mid-June, it was confirmed that the series will premiere on 4th September 2025.

As well as being the starring central characters, Weatherly and de Pablo will also serve as executive producers on the new spin-off, which they have reportedly been developing for several years. The storyline will open by revisiting and explaining the reason behind the characters departure from the original series.

Weatherly was part of the original NCIS cast until his departure in 2016, but returned in 2024 for a special tribute episode honouring David McCallum, who played Dr Donald Mallard, lovingly known as Ducky for 20 seasons, while de Pablo was a series regular from season 3 to 11 and made guest appearances in season 16 and 17.

On 4th September we will witness these former agents on the run against a dangerous international spy espionage conspiracy, all whilst learning to co-parent and stay alive. So get your passports ready! We are off to Paris for a European Adventure NCIS style!

We pick-up the NCIS ‘First Couple’ living in Paris raising their 12year old daughter Tali (Isla Gie). Forced to escape across Europe after Tony’s security company is attacked, they are left to go on the run and try to figure out who is after them.

The ‘OG’ NCIS couple first started dating in season 10 of the original NCIS show, but their relationship was abruptly cut when Ziva was supposedly killed in an explosion in season 11. Fast forward to the season 13 finale, it was revealed that Ziva shared a daughter with Tony which leaves him to quit NCIS to concentrate on raising his daughter.

In the season 16 finale, we find out that Ziva had faked her own death, and had been in hiding, and in season 17, Ziva teamed back up with the NCIS team to complete one final mission.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva marks the seventh series in the NCIS franchise:
