Reubens Daughters, Supported by Harmony Asia

It is a very belated return to The Thursday Night Music Club for the stunning music of Reuben’s Daughters. Hard to believe it was 2022 when Reuben Myles Tyghe last graced one of our stages. But, following some smash-hit full band sets at The Shuffle, we are excited to have him back, and this time, with the band!

Conceived in Barton Creek, TX, USA (after missing a plane home…) Reuben’s Daughters is the musical brain-child of Bath-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Reuben Myles Tyghe, of alt-rock trio, Port Erin, who we have had a long and fruitful working relationship with. He comes to us with a fresh new album too!

Reuben Myles Tyghe’s second album as Reuben’s Daughters, finds the UK singer/songwriter pushing the sound of his 2022 debut LP Mami Wata into new and fascinating places—recalling The Sea and Cake’s airy post-rock sonics, the woolly chamber-pop of Super Furry Animals godhead Gruff Rhys, and The Beta Band’s more acoustic moments. Tyghe and his six piece band will embark on a summer tour in support of the record, including appearances at the 2025 Glastonbury Festival and Beautiful Days Festival.

“Reuben’s Daughters is a moonlight swim under a weeping willow slide guitar forest… Ghosts and clouds turn into melodies that crouch on the banks and whisper pictures into your brain. “Mami Wata” is a cool album!” Particle Kid – Micah Nelson, son of Willie Nelson and member of current Neil Young backing band The Chrome Hearts)

”Who knew some of the sunniest new music in the world could be crafted in the southwest of England?” – Kelley Stoltz (Castle Face / Sub Pop / Third Man Records)

FREE Entry, Music from 8.30pm. Entry free, please bring cash for the artists tip-jar.
