Old Town Christmas Festival & Light Switch-On:
The festive season in Swindon is set to kick off in style as the Old Town Christmas Festival returns on Sunday 23rd November, bringing an afternoon of community spirit, live music, and seasonal celebrations to this beloved independent business district. Running from 12pm to 6pm, the event will once again be the focal point of Swindon’s Christmas festivities, featuring a packed programme of food, drink, and entertainment.

- Live performances, local stars, street entertainment, headline acts
- Light switch-on ceremony, with a countdown and the turning on of our Christmas display

Lydiard Park Christmas Lights Switch-On:
Join the Lydiard Park team for a festive and heart-warming evening at the Lydiard Park Christmas Lights Switch On.
Gather family and friends at Lydiard Park for a heart-warming start to the festive season.
Enjoy live music and traditional carols, meet Swindon Wildcats’ mascot Scratch, and watch as the Mayor of Swindon lights up Lydiard’s magnificent cypress tree.
Tuck into seasonal food and drinks throughout the evening – head to Lydiard Park Hotel for comforting pie and mash, or burgers and frankfurters to take away. The Coach House Tea Rooms will be open too, serving hot drinks, confectionery and offering a selection of Christmas gifts. Plus, this year, we’re excited to welcome Gurt Wings – treat yourself to freshly fried chicken, cheesy STIX and crispy tater tots!
Steven Hill Funfairs will bring plenty of festive fun for the little ones, with Hook a Santa, children’s rides and a candy stall.
Entry is free and there’s no need to book – just wrap up warm and join us outside Lydiard House on Friday 28th November, 4.30pm – 6:15pm.
This event marks the start of our festive programme at Lydiard Park, which includes: Santa Paws Dog Photoshoot, Santa Vs Rudolf Run, Festive Paint & Sip, Guided Tours of Lydiard House with Cream Tea, A Country House Christmas, Lydiard Ghost Stories at Christmas, Sunday with Santa, Carols by Candlelight, Christmas parties and an incredible New Year’s Eve Party.

Highworth Christmas Light Switch-On:
Our much-loved festive celebration is back on the High Street!
Enjoy over 60 independent stalls, live music throughout the day, and magical photo opportunities including an inclusive sleigh and a giant snow globe.
Sip seasonal drinks from our bar outlets, take part in the Christmas competition, and try your luck in the Mayor’s raffle—plus so much more!
The day wraps up with a special visit from Father Christmas and the grand Christmas lights switch-on.

Badbury Park Christmas Tree Light Switch-On:
Join us for some festive fun at Broadgreen Community Centre, Cavendish Square, and Badbury Park Community Hub from 18th-20th, for live performances, Santa appearances and festive treats!

Broadgreen Christmas Tree Light Switch-On:
South Swindon Parish Council welcome you to the Broadgreen light switch-on 18th November from 5pm.
Get ready for a magical night at the Broadgreen Christmas Tree Light Switch-On. This year there will be Sizzling Stars of Swindon, Rhythmix Goa, St Luke’s Church Choir, staff and of course, Santa, for supporting the day.

Marlborough Christmas Light Switch-On:
Get ready for the official count down to Christmas, starting on Friday 28th of November. Save the date now, for an illuminated night of wonder and Christmas spirit!
The Christmas Market will be open from 12pm with live music starting at 4:45pm. Be sure to look out for the street entertainment and Chloe’s Mobile Festive Farm, and if that’s not enough, stop by St Peter’s Marlborough to see Santa’s Grotto and more!

Corsham Christmas Lights Switch On:
Join us at our annual Christmas lights switch-on to kick off the festive season on Friday 5th December.
From 3pm, a Christmas market will line the high street, offering tasty treats to enjoy and a chance to get started on your Christmas shopping with brilliant local businesses. There will be fairground rides and a special appearance from Father Christmas himself to keep little ones entertained.
The live music will begin at the Martingate Centre from 3.30pm, with performances from Rock Choir and Corsham Windband. At the main stage outside the Town Hall, local band the Clones will be performing from 5pm, with the Shingalings playing after the big event – the switch-on at 6pm!
