MEZZANINE BAND + URSA WAY

Mezzanine are a power pop/rock trio from Wiltshire with an energetic live performance and an eclectic list of influences that including the likes of Pixies, The Police and Dinosaur Jr. Originally formed in the late 90s by Tim Owen (Bass) & Andy Ashley (Guitar & Vocals) they gigged and recorded before splitting a few years later. Then after a 23 year hiatus, a chance meeting brought them back together. They added Simon Hancock (Drums) to the lineup who also drums with bands such as the Dollyrots and Painted Bird, and they started writing and gigging new material as well as playing a few of their old songs from back in the 90s. They have just finished recording a new EP with 5 original songs, the first track of which, ‘Lycra’ is available on all good streaming services.

Support from URSA WAY – a band originating from Swindon that make Britpop-inspired music.

Christmas in Vegas – The Rat Pack

Swing into the Christmas season with The Rat Pack and their famous Christmas Concert.

The Official UK No: 1 Tribute show as voted by The Agents Association of Great Britain for three successive years, arrives direct From London’s Leicester Square Theatre, The 02 and a Royal Command Performance.

The acclaimed David Alacey (Lovejoy & Inspector Alleyn) stars as Frank Sinatra alongside West End favourite Tim Harwood as Dean Martin.
They are joined by former Corronation Street and Hollyoaks star Ashley Campbell as Sammy Davis Jnr in the original Rat Pack show, now
celebrating its 25th record breaking year.

Together they amaze audiences with their recreation of a vintage Christmas at The Sands with Sinatra, Martin and Davis in this sensational show which brings the style, glamour and excitement of the Las Vegas heyday to vivid life.

Including all the great hits – My Way, Mr Bojangles, New York New York, Amore, Fly Me To The Moon and seasonal classics such as Winter Wonderland, Let It Snow and of course White Christmas.

This yuletide treat for all the family, also features the fabulous Buddy Greco All-stars under the direction of BBC Musical Director Mac Shone
at the Piano. Greco who was a member of the real Pack in Vegas and a friend of Marilyn Monroe (having spent the famous last weekend at
Lake Tahoe with Sinatra and Marilyn) gave the show his seal of approval saying “These guys are as close as anyone will ever get to my dear
friends, it was just like being back at The Sands” He also adds an authentic touch of Rat Pack style to the show, by making a specially recorded guest appearance.

Just as Frank, Dean and Sammy were joined on stage at The Sands by surprise Special Guests, that element of theatrical magic is recreated in
this show with appearances by the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Nancy Sinatra and Liza Minnelli adding even more glamour to this glitzy production. Magical Christmas Memories really are made of this!

WILDERNESS STATES + CHLOE HEPBURN

Following on from a superb Shuffle set back in September we are very excited to be able to bring back to Swindon the brillaint Wilderness States!

This five-piece atmospheric alt-rock band hail from Oxfordshire and are known for their rich soundscapes and energetic performances. Dubbed “stadium indie” by local music publications, the band’s sound is best described as a fusion of alt-rock and post-rock, driven by intricate rhythms, powerful and soaring vocals, and a balance of intensity and beauty.

Support from another Shuffle star, Swindon’s very own Chloe Hepburn who has spent the last couple of years moving away from cutting-edge synth-pop and metamorphosing into a slick indie-pop/soul singer, as a perfect marker of where modern music is at.
