2026 will see some big games released, from popular franchises such as Resident Evil and the hugely anticipated latest Grand Theft Auto release, and 007 also makes a return for the first time since 007 Legends was released back in 2012.

Release Date: 29th January 2026

Reanimal – PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox:
Release Date: Friday 13th February 2026
Yes, you read right! Reanimal is being released on FRIDAY 13th!
Reanimal is an upcoming horror adventure video game developed by Tarsier Studios and published by THQ Nordic. A two-player game in the Tim Burton mode, without the whimsy. Brother and sister must escape a twisted mockery of their home town, all whilst they are stalked by horrible spike-limbed monsters and grotesque reanimated creatures.
Resident Evil Requiem – Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox:
Release Date: 27 February 2026
Resident Evil Requiem is the latest upcoming survival horror game developed and published by Capcom, which will be the ninth main game in the Resident Evil franchise.
This maybe an old horror gaming franchise, but still manages to come up with great ways to make you jump. Requiem brings a new era of survival horror to gaming as the most immersive addition yet in the iconic Resident Evil franchise.

Pokémon Pokopia – Nintendo Switch 2
Release Date: 5th March
Here’s a thought to drop into your head… Imagine dropping Pokémon into the world of Animal Crossing, with a little dash of Minecraft’s blocky animation, and you have Pokémon Pokopia.
Pokémon Pokopia is an upcoming life simulation game developed by Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Build a Pokémon Paradise in this family-friendly Nintendo game as you build and tend to the habitats for Nintendo’s beloved creatures. Create a charming world built alongside your friends, do a spot of gardening, relax in your very own paradise, or invite your Pokémon friends, whilst playing as a Ditto, the shape-shifting pink blob, which can helpfully transform into other Pokémon, using those other critters’ abilities to bring a barren landscape back to life and build a vibrant town.
Saros – PlayStation 5:

A haunting, dark, sci-fi adventure from the creators of Returnal.

007 First Light – PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2:

With no 007 game since 2012, when we saw the most famous secret spy appear in 007 Legends, the most anticipated James Bond game since the Nintendo 64’s GoldenEye 007 is set to be released this year!
Made by IO Interactive, famous for Hitman, it stars a younger, twenty-something Bond who has not yet earned his 007 status, and hopes to blend the expected car chases, shootouts and gadgets with some genuine spycraft, as Bond infiltrates parties and digs for information.
Grand Theft Auto VI – PlayStation 5, Xbox
Release Date: 19th November
