Swindon’s very own American Football team have announced their 2026 season adult team schedule.

The team are now in full pre-season training in preparation for this season with high expectations for the 2026 season. So if you are now at a loss now the Super Bowl is over and still need your American Football fix, then why not check out the team, if you haven’t already and show your support, or even try out for the team!

There is still time for players and coaches to join us this season. Get in touch and come down Sundays to try out. No experience necessary, no special kit needed, as the team will provide all you need, just bring your boots, a bottle, and a learning mentality.

Swindon Storm will kick off their 2026 season at home on Sunday 19th April at Southbrook Playing Fields, Swindon SN2 1RH.

Whether you’re a seasoned football fan or new to the sport, Swindon Storm American Football Team offers exciting opportunities to engage with the game and support local talent. 

With the new season soon upon us, the team have already been paving the way for a strong season, back in October 2025, Swindon Storm announced the appointment of Rich Van Sloten as their 2026 Senior team Head Coach. Sloten is a familiar face at Storm, previously he has coached the Seniors as DC/HC, and the Junior Varsity as DC before leaving to coach for other successful teams. Most recently completing coaching stints as DC of Bournemouth Bobcats and DC at Bristol Apache.

37year old battle tested veteran Centre Guard Jamie Richardson, with 16 seasons wearing the Storm uniform will be playing for a 17th season for Storm.

Other returning players for the 2026 season include Defensive Back’s Lewis Mason & Sam Pope, Running Back Aled Heaton, Wide Receiver’s Ryan Jones & Josh Gill and Quarter Back Alex Barnes.
