Get ready for another awesome weekend of live music around Swindon! We have one of the best, if not the best live music scenes in the South West, with venues like MECA, The Vic, and many more!
The Tuppenny
CARNIVAL SALOON

After a lifetime of near misses, Sid & Ash have finally collided to make the music they were always meant to create. Think folk, Americana, jazz, swampy voodoo, and a whole lot more — all blended into something utterly fascinating.
Their sound drifts across the vast landscape of American music, but never in a way that feels forced. Influences mingle naturally, weaving a tapestry that feels undeniably American and speaks to that country’s life, culture, history, and musical canon.
Prepare for a journey that’s as soulful as it is surprising.
“I love the fact that, with bands like Oasis and Radiohead being back in vogue in the UK, The Carnies sound like a truck-stop jam band that you bumped into just outside Shreveport on a road trip along the I20 in the mid-seventies.” – Dave Franklin, Dancing About Architecture.

The Beehive
EXPERIMENTAL BLUES ORCHESTRA + GUEST
We present a night of musical mayhem where we’ll be collecting money for the Prospect Hospice. E.B.O will serve as the house band for a long list of guest vocalists and instrumentalists.

As an initial appetiser we can announce that Californian guitarist Rob Espinosa will be joining us as part of the house band. We’ve worked with Rob on a number of tours and can only say, apart from being an all round good egg, he’s a tremendous player.
Session credits include Vince Gill, Glen Campbell, Tommy Smothers, Huey Lewis, Kenny G, the Gatlin Brothers and John Denver. He’s also a Mesa Boogie and Lollar artist. So join us, bring lots of cash and support a very worthwhile, and at the moment, pressing cause.

COURTING GHOSTS + JOE HUNT
It is a very welcome return to The Thursday Night Music Club for Courting Ghosts, a band who absolutely smash every appearance in Swindon.

Fusing elements of acoustica, country, and folk music with occasional touches of rock and jazz, Courting Ghosts is a band whose music runs from intimate ballads to foot-on-the-monitor rockers. You’ll dance, you’ll cry, it’ll change your life. Okay, it may not change your life exactly, but it will make your week. If Americana is the music of, for, and about that great nation, then this is surely Briticana. Is that a thing? I guess it is now.
Support from Wilshire musician Joe Hunt.
Music from 8.30pm. Pay-what-you-can (free entry but the hat will be passed round – so bring cash!)
