This Saturday check out award winning country artist Nia Nicholls.

Awarded “Best Solo Artist” and “Best Songwriter” by the OMA’s in Dorset. Nia’s got a reputation that’s as strong as her voice. Her hit track “Exes” was named Track of 2023 by BBC Introducing, and she’s been rockin’ the airwaves on BBC Kent, BBC Solent and BBC Wales.

This lady’s got songwriting in her blood, having recorded most of her songs in Nashville, The Music City – but she’s been making waves all over the map! In 2024, she became the first British artist ever invited to perform at the In A Jam Down By The River festival in Texas!
As of recently, Nia’s single “I’m A Marionette” was featured in Youtuber Colin Furze’s video – which helped the song explode to over 50k streams.

And if that’s not enough to get you excited, country star Dylan Scott has her on his radar, calling her “one to watch,” while legendary American songwriter Dean Friedman has had her open for him on his UK tours the past two years.

SALOS: With A Song In His Heart

SALOS presents With A Song in His Heart: A Musical Tribute to Ray Dance

Join SALOS this Spring for a musical tribute to the legendary Ray Dance, with a concert featuring numbers from many SALOS shows over the past six decades, including Oklahoma, Annie Get Your Gun, Elf, Jesus Christ Superstar and plenty more.

From his first performance in Chu Chin Chow in 1961 to flying across the stage as Santa in Elf in 2023, Ray lit up every show with passion and professionalism for nearly 65 years. He performed more principal roles than anyone in SALOS history, served on the committee for many years, mentored countless members, and brought so much laughter, kindness and fun into every room he entered.

This concert will celebrate that dedication and talent, bringing to life a wide array of musical numbers from SALOS’ eclectic list of previous productions in which Ray performed.
