Following a highly anticipated competition that began in February, River Bank Studios is proud to announce The Deep End as the winners of the “Take the Stage 2026” final.

The grand finale, held at the Neeld Community and Arts Centre in Chippenham, saw a capacity crowd of over 200 music fans gather to witness the four remaining finalists battle it out for the top spot. The path to the final was hard-fought, with the original talent pool narrowed down through three competitive heats over the spring.

The final vote was noted by organisers as one of the closest in the competition’s history, reflecting the high caliber of the performing bands. Ultimately, The Deep End, a four-piece group from Stroud, captured the audience’s attention and the majority of the votes to secure the win. With the prize of a place at Cornfest 2026  chippenham and a live studio day at the ruze.

“The energy in the Neeld tonight was electric,” said a spokesperson for River Bank Studios. “Seeing the community come out to support these young artists is exactly why we run Take the Stage. The Deep End put on a world-class performance, and we are excited to see what they do next.”
