60th anniversary celebrations will continue when a 100ft tall birthday cake touches down at Longleat this September.

The Wiltshire Estate is welcoming the Wish Cake hot air balloon as part of the line up for Icons of the Sky, which takes place between 11 – 13 September.

The balloon comprises of three tiers, with candles, ribbons and roses, perfect for the park’s diamond anniversary of the safari park. Wish Cake will be tethering on the oval throughout the weekend, towering over the iconic Longleat House.

Originally made in Oswestry by Lindstrand Balloons, it has enjoyed a 25-year career travelling the world. Wish Cake now resides in the Netherlands, making a special journey to help celebrate 60 years of the first Drive-Through Safari outside of Africa.
