The August nominations for the Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month Award are:

Ched Evans – Chesterfield v FLEETWOOD TOWN – 15th August

Evans was dropping into space when the ball was headed back to him 35 yards from goal. One touch to control it on his chest was followed by an instinctive first-time dipping volley.

Keenan Appiah-Forson – Colchester United v OLDHAM ATHLETIC – 22nd August

If there was nothing on when Appiah-Forson collected a throw-in by the touchline, that was before his quicksilver turn to lose his marker and a high looping shot into the far top corner.

Aaron Drinan – SWINDON TOWN v Cheltenham Town – 22nd August

Striding forward into space with defenders backing off, Drinan set himself to shoot from outside the area. He judged the angle of his rising drive to perfection, finding the top corner.

Tom James – Crawley Town v BRISTOL ROVERS – 29th August

James’ training ground free-kick practice paid off handsomely with a stunning effort from the corner of the Crawley box. The placement was pinpoint, flicking off the underside of the bar.

Fans are invited to vote for their favourite goal on EFL.com before 5pm on Monday 14 September.

The supporters’ votes will be combined with the choices from a panel to determine the winners.

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL experts Don Goodman & David Prutton.
