Alpine has wrapped up a successful Paris Motor Show, welcoming 270,000 visitors to its stand to explore the brand’s bold product strategy and future direction. Among the highlights, the Alpine A310 VISION emerged as one of the stars of the show, while the Alpine A110 Sculpture allowed the public to glimpse the lines and proportions of the third-generation A110. Alpine also presented a new chapter in personalisation, extending the Atelier Alpine offer to the Alpine A290 and Alpine A390 to offer customers even greater choice.

Alpine’s successful presence at the Paris Motor Show reflected the growing momentum behind its ambition to become the world’s reference French premium sports speciality brand. Sales increased from around 4,500 cars in 2024 to more than 10,000 in 2025 and have already exceeded 13,000 this year. This growth is being driven by the Alpine A290, now the brand’s best-selling model, alongside the Alpine A390 electric sport fastback, with new customers accounting for 80% of buyers. Alpine’s expanding retail network, currently covering 26 countries through 251 points of sale, is bringing the brand closer to an increasingly broad customer base.

One of the stars of the Paris Motor Show, the Alpine A310 VISION attracted attention with its radical silhouette and contemporary, retro-futuristic reinterpretation of an Alpine icon. Introduced in Paris by Philippe Krief, Alpine CEO, the Alpine A310 VISION is a one-off concept showcasing the potential of the new, modular Alpine Performance Platform (APP), which is being developed to accommodate different body-styles and powertrains. It is also a creative exploration of the brand’s heritage, not the announcement of a future production model.

It reimagines the original Alpine A310, the 1971 sports car that extended the Berlinette story with its low, wide and sharply drawn silhouette, in a year that marks 55 years of the four-cylinder car and 50 years of the V6.

The design studio asked how the Alpine A310 might look if drawn with today’s design languages, materials and means, and set out to extend its intent, not copy it. The result blends the purity of the early four-cylinder cars with the muscular stance of the V6 and its widened wings. Triangular “A”-shaped wheels nod to the early cars’ full metal wheels, aluminium bodywork meets a Formula One-inspired black lower section, and a semi-transparent bubble canopy offers a glimpse of the cockpit. Headlights that pop down reveal the car’s character on start-up. The Alpine A310 VISION shows the creative freedom APP gives Alpine’s designers to explore new proportions and volumes.

The design of the next-generation Alpine A110, which is due at the end of 2027, was hinted at in the form of a sculpture, unveiled at the show by Antony Villain, Alpine VP of Design, and Pierre Gasly from the BWT Alpine Formula One Team. Beneath a blue veil that seems caught mid-gust, the proportions and stance of the original Berlinette and today’s Alpine A110 begin to emerge in a thoroughly contemporary, curvaceous form.

The veil is more than a flourish. Designers drape a form to read its proportions rather than hide them, and here the shape is inspired in part by the tension created when Concorde broke the sound barrier, suggesting lightness, airflow and energy frozen in a single moment. Beneath it, the model’s legacy is immediately recognisable: a V-shaped nose with a dual light signature, a beltline running from shark-nose front to lowered tail, and a teardrop cabin set between four pronounced wheel arches. Set to be the world’s first true electric sports car, the third-generation Alpine A110 will build on the technical foundations of APP.

Personalisation took a step forward in Paris as the Atelier Alpine offer was extended to the Alpine A290 for the first time, letting customers make an Alpine A290 their own while staying true to the brand’s design DNA. The new Collection trim made its debut, offered with both the 180 hp and 220 hp powertrains. Blanc Nival paint and a black roof come as standard, joined by body-colour wheel arches, 19-inch diamond-cut Snowflake wheels, silver front brake calipers and chrome monograms. Inside, a Bleu Profond and Gris Evee textured coating and fabric combine with a heated black steering wheel. Collection customers can also choose from a range of options that includes Telemetry, Pack Safety (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and a French flag on the C-pillar.

The Alpine A390 five-seater electric sport fastback debuted a wealth of new colours, trims and finishes from the Atelier Alpine offer. The GTS was displayed in new Bleu Tempête Mat paint with a black roof, with Alpine sport seats by Sabelt in Nappa gris leather and 21-inch forged Snowflake wheels, semi-diamond cut in “Or pale”. New carbon Damier mat trim covered the console, dashboard and the rear shell of the seats. A GT in Bleu Alpine Vision with black roof showed off new lightweight 20-inch Comète alloy wheels. The Atelier Alpine offer is available on both GT and GTS.

Both the Alpine A290 and A390 benefit from V2X bidirectional charging technologies, with V2G enabling interaction with the electricity grid and V2L allowing the vehicle’s battery to power compatible external devices. They also offer access to Google Gemini through the Alpine Portal with Google built-in1.

Reflecting on the Paris Motor Show, Philippe Krief, CEO of Alpine, commented:

“Paris Motor show materialised our strategy together in one place – one product triptych, one direction, the same since day one, providing each Alpine owner or passenger some emotions. Our ‘Everyday Extraordinary’ cars, the Alpine A290 hot hatch and the Alpine A390 sport fastback, allow us to conquest new customers to the brand, and now with the new features Atelier Alpine allow them to be even more creative in making their car their very own. Following the Alpine Performance Platform details shared in March, we brought to the market the first mule car Alpine A110 FUTURE at Goodwood Festival of Speed and now a glimpse on the future design with the Alpine A110 Sculpture giving shape to the next chapter of our ‘Icons’ product pillar – a look ahead at what the world’s first true electric sports car will look like. Finally, the Alpine A310 VISION, a tribute to our heritage, showing that engineers and designers can imagine the future and create ‘Special Projects’.”

Antony Villain, VP of Design at Alpine, said:

“Great design creates emotion before you understand why. That is the idea behind our Alpine A110 sculpture: the veil lets us suggest rather than reveal, so you sense the proportions, tension and lightness. For the Alpine A310 VISION, an original A310 at the heart of our studio inspired our design team to give it a radical silhouette and an emotion that is unmistakably Alpine. Every car on our stand, from the Alpine A290 and A390 in new colours and trims to these two creations, is designed to make you feel something special.”
