Highworth Town has celebrated the opening of its new 3G pitch, marking an exciting new chapter for the club and its community.

The project replaces the old playing surface with a modern facility designed to support football at the heart of Highworth. Completed in just 16 weeks, the pitch represents an investment of £1.2 million. It was made possible through generous donations and the hard work of Deanne Rose and her team, whose commitment helped bring the ambitious project to life.

The opening ceremony was led by Highworth Mayor Julie Murphy, who cut the ribbon and officially declared the facility open. Her presence marked a proud moment for everyone who contributed to the project and for the players, supporters and local residents who will benefit from it.

The new pitch forms part of an upgraded Save On Tyres Stadium, which now features modern turnstiles and dedicated home and away dugouts. Together, these improvements create a welcoming setting for matchdays and provide better facilities for both teams and spectators.

The transformation is about more than a new surface: it reflects what a community can achieve through shared effort and support. As Highworth Town steps onto its new 3G pitch, the club can look forward to welcoming players and fans to a refreshed home built for the future.
