Ian Holloway made two changes to his side from Monday afternoon as Swindon Town lost 3-0 to Colchester United at the JobServe Community Stadium on Friday evening.
The hosts looked to open the scoring in the early going as Ellis Iandolo played through Arthur Read, who forced Connor Ripley into an early stop to force a corner.
Ripley was called into action again in the early stages as Iandolo struck from range, with the Town shot stopper tipped his effort onto the post, before Jack Payne saw his effort hit the crossbar as Swindon cleared their lines.

Darren Oldaker linked up neatly with Joel McGregor on the halfway line, with the latter driving towards goal before taking aim, however his effort sailed over the crossbar.
James Ball would see red midway through the first half, initially winning his first tackle against Arthur Read before being judged to have illegally tackled Finley Barbrook.
Half-Time: Colchester United 0-0 Swindon Town
Colchester looked to take the lead in the early going again as Owura Edwards played a ball across the front of the penalty area, with Jack Payne leaving it for Arthur Read to strike home past Connor Ripley.
Shortly after the hosts added a second as Ellis Iandolo broke down the left wing before picking out the head of Will Goodwin who headed his effort past Ripley.
Romeo Akachukwu looked to add a third as he beat Jamie Knight-Lebel to the ball, forcing Connor Ripley into a save to deny Colchester a third.
Goodwin broke down the right flank for the home side before looking up and picking out Jack Payne at the back post, who was denied by Connor Ripley.
Harry Anderson burst through into the Town penalty area before picking out Akachukwu in space, whose effort went narrowly wide.
Ellis Iandolo received the ball from Owura Edwars before playing it into the area with his cross, making its way to the back post, with Harry Anderon there to tap it home for a third.
