Swindon Town Football Club is delighted to announce that Harry Smith has signed a new contract with the club, keeping him at the Nigel Eady County Ground until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Smith remains a highly valued member of the Robins’ squad and an important figure within the dressing room. The striker, who was named Swindon Town Player of the Season for 2024/25, has made a significant impact during his time at the club, contributing key performances and goals before a long-term ACL injury ruled him out for the entirety of the 2025/26 campaign.
Throughout his rehabilitation, Smith has continued to demonstrate outstanding professionalism, determination, and commitment to his recovery, remaining a positive presence around the squad and a strong influence on his teammates despite his time on the sidelines.
The new contract reflects the club’s belief in his ability to return to full fitness and continue to play a major role moving forward. Smith’s importance to the group, both on and off the pitch, remains clear, with his leadership, experience, and character highly regarded across the club.
Manager Ian Holloway said: “Harry’s attitude through what has been a really tough injury has been first-class. He’s shown real resilience, and he’s been a massive part of the group even when he hasn’t been able to get on the pitch.
“He was our Player of the Season for a reason, he had a huge impact on us, and we all believe he can get back to that level again. He’s a top professional, a great character, and someone the lads really respect. I’m delighted he’s staying with us.”
