Thursday night (30th July) saw a very special car meet at The Ridge in West Swindon. The Swindon car scene has become a thriving community over the last few years, often coming together to support the local community and charities. Last night the Swindon Car came together to support one of their own. Jenny Webster who is well known within the local car scene was diagnosed with Secondary Metastatic cancer in her spine from T5, T6, T7 and T8 back in June and told there is no current cure.
With the support from fellow petrol heads, Jenny sat on a camping chair in front of her much loved Abarth, and had her head shaved in front of over 100 members of Swindon’s car scene, in support of Cancer Research UK.
Speaking to Jenny at the popular Samturbs Car Meet at The Ridge Bar & Grill, she told us about the moment she was given the news: “I had a call by a specialist bone doctor who asked if I could get to the hospital that day, we jumped in the car and stopped by Maccies on route, thinking it was probably a nerve trapped of something.
When we arrived at the MAU department and had a few prods and pokes followed by an MRI, by now it was 7pm, the results were in and the doctor sat me down to tell me I had Secondary Metastatic cancer in my spine from T5, T6, T7 and T8! My world sunk, first thoughts not again! I had already previously been diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer, and underwent surgery, radiotherapy and 5years of Hormone Therapy. Now the realisation of what I was actually being told, there is no CURE”.
Jenny, now living in Wiltshire was born in Oxfordshire and has spent many years with a passion for motorsport and custom builds. Jenny told Entertainment Swindon that she had had the privilege of living in Antigua and also Jersey in the Channel Islands, before moving to Wiltshire, which is where her project—Pops—started.
Jenny’s dad was an avid lover of cars and motorcycles. From a very young age Jenny was shown the meaning of power and excitement that the motor world brings. That influence shaped everything. In 2018 Jenny was photographing for British motorbikes, later shooting World Superbikes, which led to traveling to Gubbio, Italy in 2018 to photograph the Hill climb Masters.
So when Jenny found the advert for a rare Abarth F595 built as a tribute to Carlos Abarth, she had to buy it!
Jenny told us: “The Abarth F595 build isn’t just another custom car. It’s a tribute to automotive legend.
Abarth ran the Lancia Delta Integrale rally team sponsored by Martini Racing. That’s not just history—that’s motorsport royalty. The Delta Integrale is one of the most successful rally cars ever built. The Martini Racing livery is one of the most iconic in motorsport”.
So when Jenny decided on her Abarth F595 build she knew exactly what direction to take. The car needed to honour that heritage. The Martini Racing livery needed to wrap around it. The aggressive performance upgrades needed to reflect what Abarth stands for: controlled chaos and pure driving joy!
The passion for the car scene and her Abarth F595 is obvious when you see Jenny stood next to her stunning car that stands out from the crowd surrounded by American muscle cars, supercars and likes of BMW M3s.
With custom made wide rear fenders made in Turin, Italy, the historic Martini Racing livery that connects it to rally legend, a custom fitted wing from Areotrack, white Bola racing rims that fill the arches properly. The list goes on and on!
This Abarth F595 build is what happens when someone genuinely understands the heritage of a brand and respects it while making something uniquely their own! This Abarth F595 build is genuinely one-off!
That’s not just building a car. That’s creating a legacy! Now Jenny is writing a new legacy, using her passion and love for the car scene to hopefully one day cure Cancer. A truly inspirational woman.

Jenny has now started treatment which is on a 3 week on 1 week off, regular blood tests and CT scans.
With her final comment to Entertainment Swindon, she said: “I honestly don’t know what the future looks like but will laugh and smile the whole journey getting to as many car shows as I can… My car is what drives me everyday, I see her sat outside and I smile so much!”
