Make Sunday lunch feel special again… Marlborough Golf Course is bringing back their Sunday Carvery, new menu, new chef.
Put the date in your diary, Sunday 4th October, Marlborough Golf Club launch their new Sunday Carvery, so why not book your table for a traditional Sunday lunch in a setting that feels just a little bit more special, with beautifully laid table, friendly attentive service and of course wonderful views looking across the golf course and the rolling hills of the North Wessex Downs.

The club will be offering offering 1 course for £19.95, 2 courses for £25, or 3 courses for £30 per person, with children under 12yrs half price, offering a lovely Sunday roast dinning experience, whether for two, a family get-together, meeting friends or celebrating a special occasion, take your seat, relax and let the clubs team look after you.
Speaking to Steve Scott-Bowen, General Manager at Marlborough Golf Club, he said: “We are really excited to launch our new Sunday Carvery next month, as well as letting people know we are not just for club members, and want everyone to come and experience a lovely relaxed lunch in beautiful settings looking over the course and the North Wessex Downs, you don’t have to be a golfer, or a member, everyone is welcome”

Bowen went on to say: “The main aspiration is to make us more appealing to families in and around the surrounding areas of Marlborough, Swindon etc and let them know they can get a fantastic Sunday family meal for exceptional value for money using locally sourced ingredients for example our meat is supplied by Sumblers family butcher of Marlborough less than 5minutes from our front door, all our veg is supplied by Heritage fine foods and we strive to get all our produce within a 25mile radius”.
As well as a new menu, Marlborough Golf Club has brought onboard Chef Russell, who joined as head chef back in March of this year. For the past 3yrs he has been running his own small chef agency along with his wife, offering affordable and professional support to various award winning restaurants, hotels and other hospitality businesses.
Previous to that Chef Russell was Head Chef at the White Horse Pub in Compton Basset where he had 2 Rosettes.
He has also been executive chef of the relaunched Old Bell Hotel in Malmsbury and the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester. Chef Russell has also, before moving to Swindon to start a family worked in London where he gained experience in various prestigious restaurants. So expect amazing food!
Speaking to Chef Russell, he said: “We want Marlborough golf club to be known as not just for the members but more let our family serve your family with a quality, good value dinning experience”.
The Marlborough Golf Club Sunday Carvery will be available every Sunday from 4th October, serving from 12noon.
