If there was a live music event not to miss over the weekend, it was The Road To Nashville tour that on Saturday brought country music fans new and old to Swindon’s MECA offering a mix of country music icons from past to present.
The resurgence in country music in recent times across the UK has seen more country music events, venues and big names form the US spring up, as the popularity of country music has gone mainstream, bringing a whole new generation of fans.

The show that returned to Swindon for its second show in less than a year certainly lived up to the hype, with some of the best country music tribute acts in the UK performing on stage, from OG Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton, to Luke Combes, Morgan Wallen and Ella Langley.
As well as great live music, there was plenty of fun with vintage games, rodeo bull and themed decor for the perfect Nashville selfie opportunity.
Riley Green tribute Almost Riley opened the show playing all of Riley’s biggest hits with an awesome tribute to the Duckman… Up next was tribute to one of the biggest names in country music at the moment, Luke Combs, followed by OG of country music, Garth Brooks, performed by Carl Shay, which for us at Entertainment Swindon, smashed it out of the park with a genuine energetic tribute to one of the biggest names in country music.

Other names the performed at the weekends event at MECA were Post Malone, Ella Langley, Shania Twain, the much loved Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, with the Morgan Wallen Band headlining the show.
Line dancing groups from across the Swindon are led the way in front of the stage showing off their boot scooting skills, a long with country fans not only from around thew Swindon area, but even as far a Birmingham, Cardiff and London!
